“Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you.”
We know that our lives are supposed to revolve around Him and His will, yet all of our life we have struggled between self-centeredness and God-centeredness…I’ll admit to that!!
The most wonderful thing about God’s plan is that if we only and truly live His way, it might at times seem like a sacrifice, but ultimately we are not making a sacrifice… by us satisfying Him is also satisfying us. I don’t mean that in a selfish way what-so-ever, but in an “ah-ha” moment…hello, our purpose in life is to glorify Him in all that we do, to believe that we will someday be face to face with him, which is truly the best gift ever!
We glorify Him when He glorifies us; He glorifies us when we glorify Him. There’s never been a duo that just has one man workin’!
Sometimes glory may hurt, but in the grand scheme of things, our Maker glorifies Himself by glorifying His children.
So I pray today for all of you and myself: Lord, glorify me that I might glorify you!
